Ryan Duffy

Ryan Duffy, an accomplished water polo coach, has significantly contributed to the sport's development in Central Oregon. A Saint Francis High School alumnus, Duffy won two CCS championships ('98-'99) and played for the Stanford Water Polo Foundation. Since moving to Bend in 2002, he initiated water polo programs at three high schools. As the Head Coach at Mountain View High School since 2006, he's fostered a thriving water polo culture. Under his guidance, the Mountain View boys achieved a 4th place finish in the Oregon 5A State Championships in 2012 and 2017, runners-up in 2024, and won the title in 2013, 2015, and 2016. The girls' team also reached State Runner-up in 2015. In 2023, Duffy took over as Head Coach of the Bend Waves Water Polo Club. A family man, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife, three sons, and their dog. Duffy is the 2019 recipient of the USA Water Polo—Bill Barnett Distinguished Men's Coaching Award.
